Uniaxial geogrid is manufactured from selected grades of high-density polyethylene (HDPE). It is produced through the process of extruding, punching, heating and stretching. It is mainly used in the highway, railway, retaining wall, dam, deck and steep slope. Geogrid can resist elongation (creep) when subjected to high loads for long periods of time. These geogrid carry large tensile loads applied in one direction (along the roll), and their open aperture structure interlocks with natural fill materials. So the creep resistance of HDPE is better than PP, as usual, these geogrids are used in “century project”.
Properties:
High unidirectional tension resistance, good creep resistance and stable chemical nature, high friction factor with sandy and stone.
Usage:
Used in retaining wall, bridge abutment, steep slope, etc.
